Award-winning novel 'Donde el agua trabaja' is 99% AI-written, according to detector Pangram
The short novel 'Donde el agua trabaja', by Peruvian author David Silva Rojas, was 99% written by AI according to the Pangram detector, which analyzed the roughly 26,000 words of the work. The book won in July 2026 the first Premio Internacional de Novela Breve Almadía Ventosa-Arrufat, worth 20,000 euros, whose rules excluded works written wholly or partly with artificial intelligence. Publisher Almadía suspended the presentation scheduled in Madrid and the rest of the Spanish tour.
