2. What data we process
You do not need an account to read the Site and you give us no data. Only if you decide to comment do you sign in through Auth0 (by Okta, Inc.), with a code sent to your email or with your Google account. We process:
- Technical browsing data (IP address, browser type, page requested, date and time) logged by our hosting provider ([PROVEEDOR DE ALOJAMIENTO]) for security and stability.
- Your preferences on your own device: light or dark theme, text size, read-aloud speed and your cookie choice (see Cookie policy).
- If you accept analytics: aggregated audience data, such as which stories are read, approximate country, device type and language, using Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC).
- If you sign in to take part in the community: the identifier Auth0 gives us, the display name you choose (never your email) and, if you have one, the URL of your profile picture, plus the comments and posts you write, your poll votes and the reports you make. If a moderator blocks your account or the administration verifies you as an analyst, we store that too. Auth0 processes your email to send you the code or confirm it is verified; Quilla News does not store it. Your display name and picture are shown next to your comments.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive data or data from minors. We do not sell your data or use it for personalised advertising or profiling.

7. Readers in the European Union and California
If you read the Site from the European Union or the United Kingdom, we process your data on the legal bases described above and you also have the right to object, to restrict processing and to portability, and to complain to your data protection authority.
If you are in California: we do not sell or share your personal information for targeted advertising.
7b. Providers and international transfers
To run the Site we use hosting ([PROVEEDOR DE ALOJAMIENTO]) and content-management providers, Auth0 by Okta, Inc. (sign-in, only if you comment; its servers may be in the United States) and, if you accept analytics, Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC). They may process data outside Colombia. We only work with providers that offer adequate safeguards.
8. Retention and security
We keep technical data only as long as needed for security and the service. Your cookie choice is stored for up to 12 months. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures, such as encrypted connections and restricted access.
9. Minors
The Site is not directed at children under 14 and we do not intentionally collect their data. If you believe a minor has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update it, for example if we add accounts, subscriptions or new tools. We will publish the new version with its date and, if it requires your consent, ask for it again.
