Sánchez sends data center decree to Council of State with more renewable flexibility and power cuts without compensation
Pedro Sánchez's government sent the royal decree regulating data centers to the Council of State, after reviewing more than 600 comments and the CNMC's report, aiming to approve it before the November 29 elections. The text eases renewable requirements through a transition regime of up to five years, but forces those who use it to join the automatic power reduction system, with possible disconnection without compensation. Tech companies consider the concessions insufficient.
