SpaceX and Tesla formed committees to discuss a possible merger, Musk says
Elon Musk, CEO of both SpaceX and Tesla, said he supports combining the two companies and that special shareholder committees already exist to discuss a possible merger, though the final decision rests with them. Musk noted that, as a party with a conflict of interest, he cannot take part in the discussions. His remarks came during SpaceX's third-quarter earnings call, in which the company reported net income of US$4.4 billion and revenue of US$14.6 billion, up 161% year over year.
