Fed holds rates at 3.75%-4% as two officials call for a hike
The Fed's monetary policy committee (FOMC) kept interest rates between 3.75% and 4%, after raising them for the first time in three years at its previous meeting in September. The committee argued it needs more data to determine the appropriate policy stance and ensure inflation returns to its 2% target. Two officials called for a hike amid persistent inflation. Chair Kevin Warsh said inflation is "too high" and that he cannot describe financial conditions as restrictive.
